A Decade of Cityhood is Sweet

The City of Dunwoody is planning another celebratory event in the springtime.

 

Dunwoody, GA – December 10, 2018 – The City of Dunwoody marked its 10th anniversary in December with a special gathering at City Hall. The City is planning another celebratory event in the springtime, so look for details on the City’s website and social media channels soon.

Thanks to the following special guests for joining us to cut our 10th anniversary cakes: Mayor Denis Shortal; Dunwoody Council Members Pam Tallmadge, Jim Riticher, Tom Lambert, Terry Nall, Lynn Deutsch and John Heneghan; State Senator Fran Millar; State Rep. Tom Taylor; DeKalb County Commissioner Nancy Jester; Former Mayors Mike Davis and Ken Wright; Former Council Members Danny Ross, Doug Thompson and Robert Wittenstein; Bev Wingate, former Co-Chair of Dunwoody Yes!

The City will continue to mark more special dates this year. On April 1, 2019 we’ll mark the 10th anniversary of the startup of the Dunwoody Police Department. Police Chief Billy Grogan was here from day one and led the creation of an elite and respected police.
