Brook Run Dog Park Improvements
Dunwoody has gone to the dogs
Brook Run Dog Park is an active and popular amenity within Brook Run Park. The dog park is enjoyed by many dogs and their owners for the natural beauty and shaded areas that it provides.
In June 2014, the City Council directed staff to work on a relocation compromise that repositioned the dog park fencing and increased the distance between the dog park and the park’s western edge. The improvements to the Dog Park will maintain and improve the desirable features of the existing park.
The new dog park now has a 2-acre large dog area and a .25-acre small dog area. Water faucets and a wash station are also available for visitors' convenience.
The renovations are complete!
The renovations of the Brook Run Dog Park are complete and the new Dog Park is now open to the public.
The newly positioned and upgraded dog park includes a 2-acre area for large dogs, a .4-acre small dog area, new water stations, new gravel fitness path around the perimeter of the large and small dog park areas, new large open area for catch or Frisbee, and new entry and exit gates.
