The Community Development Department is responsible for working with City Council, Boards and Commissions, the development community, and the citizens of Dunwoody to guide growth and achieve the city's vision for the future.

March 2020 Notice: With the City’s desire to help stop the spread of COVID-19, our employees will temporarily be working remotely. Our offices willbe  closed Monday March 16, 2020 through Monday, April 13, but on-line Community Development services will remain available.

All permits and inspections can be scheduled online at

NOTICE: The Community Development Department is temporarily suspending the requirement to have permit applications notarized until such a time as City Hall reopens. All permits and applications that have been submitted without notarization will be required to be notarized retroactively when City Hall reopens.

Code Enforcement will be available by going online to  and using the iWorks online account or you may set up a new account.

Please give us some time to work the closure of city hall. We are committed to fulfilling all of the request for service.
