Project details:
The new Brook Run Maintenance Facility will cover 8,400 square feet across two floors on the site of the current maintenance building on DeKalb Drive in Brook Run Park. The aging, existing brick structure will be torn down to create room for a new pre-engineered metal building and maintenance yard. The current facility predates the park and is not designed for the city’s current maintenance operations.
The new building will be located to maximize space for park and street maintenance equipment and materials. The new structure will contain loading docks, material storage, a workshop, and drive-in storage on the ground floor with offices and a conference room on the floor above. Best practices for stormwater storage and water quality treatment will be incorporated into the site plan.
