What is Dunwoody 101: All Aboard?
It's a day-long exploration of Dunwoody City government, open to residents of the City. The next class will be held in 2026. Check back for dates and details.
This free program gives residents a behind-the-scenes look at the roles and responsibilities of different city departments. The goal is to increase understanding and build trust. Participants must be Dunwoody residents and at least 18.
The program includes a trolley ride to Dunwoody parks and new mixed-use developments, including High Street and Campus 244. Residents will also see the Dunwoody Police Department’s new Real-Time Crime Center, featuring a drone to aid in crime prevention and investigations.
Testimonials from the inaugural class in May
"I saw the City in a new light. I enjoyed seeing what the future goals are for Dunwoody - from parks to new commercial redevelopment to forward-thinking ways of keeping Dunwoody thriving in the future."
"I had never been to Two Bridges Park or Campus 244 (I didn’t know the latter even existed). It felt like I was discovering hidden gems in Dunwoody. I also really appreciated the behind-the-scenes view of the police department and court areas."
"The program increased my trust in the city government. I love the city of Dunwoody even more, and I am happy and proud to be a resident of Dunwoody since 2008."
"I was very impressed with the professional staff and the length of service. It says a lot that turnover is low."
