Community Garden

Dunwoody Community Garden & Orchard volunteers

Dunwoody Community Garden and Orchard is more than a place to grow organic food; it is a place to cultivate community. With each seed planted in the garden, fresh produce, healthy lifestyles, and eco-literacy will grow. Run by the 501(c)(3) Dunwoody Community Garden at Brook Run Park, approximately twenty percent of the produce is donated to a local charity. All members of the community, not just green thumbs, are welcome to visit and see what’s sprouting at the garden and greenhouse.

While there are no official hours of operation, an unlocked gate at either the main garden (across from the Dog Park) or the Greenhouses (next to the Skate Park) means that a garden member is present and you are welcome to come in and look around.  Please be kind to the garden volunteers and members - kindly take away nothing but photographs and leave nothing but footprints!

For more information on membership, free educational programs, upcoming plant sales and ways to volunteer, visit the garden website at DCGO.org or via Email.

Dog Park

Dog ParkThe Brook Run Dog Park is roughly two wooded acres for off-leash play. Nestled in the woods towards the back of Brook Run Park, the tree canopy offers shade protection from the summer heat as well as from mild rains. The Dog Park is entirely fenced and features multiple entry points with double-gates for safety of the dogs and their humans.  Regular clean-up days and volunteer opportunities are offered by the Brook Run Dog Park Association.

Email for more information.

Please remember that outside of the confines of the Dog Park, your dog is required by law to be leashed, including between your car and the gates of the Dog Park. Please do not allow your dog to wander off-leash outside of the fence.

The Dog Park is open from 7:00 a.m. – sunset.

Playground

Frequently rated as a top playground in the area, the playground and children’s adventure garden has clusters of bright play structures with shades above to hide from the sun. Play structures are separated for toddlers and older kids and include slides and swings of varying sizes, several sets of monkey bars, a multicolored tunnel, and a “log roll” for balancing. Come see why it's one of the best!
