Going forward, users with an account will be able to access CentralSquare to submit new permit applications and code complaints. Please watch out for fraudulent emails targeting residents and businesses with planning-related applications, including zoning cases, variance requests, and special administrative permits. We've seen scammers posing as City staff send fake invoices and request payment by electronic wire transfer—a major red flag, as the City never uses wire transfers for these matters. Other warning signs include messages claiming to be from the Planning Commission (which does not send direct correspondence), misspellings, and email addresses ending in “usa.com,” which are not valid City domains. Do not open attachments or send any funds. If you receive a suspicious message or have questions, please call 678-382-6757.
