2023 Dunwoody Community Survey

Results of the most recent Dunwoody Community Survey were presented to the Dunwoody City Council in April 2023. Administered every few years to Dunwoody residents, the community survey is a means of measuring satisfaction levels with city services, amenities, and quality of life. The full survey results are available online using this link.

Here are some key findings:

  • 96% are satisfied with the overall quality of life in Dunwoody
  • 86% are satisfied with services provided by the City of Dunwoody
  • 85% are satisfied with police services in Dunwoody
  • Location/walkability (35%), community (22%), and recreation (16%) were cited as top benefits of living in Dunwoody
  • Traffic (30%) and Crime (26%) were cited as top concerns among respondents
  • Police services, city trails/sidewalks, and road management cited as the most valued City services

Probolsky Research, a national research firm with extensive local government experience, was selected by the City to conduct the survey of Dunwoody residents from March 7 to 22. Using consumer data, the Probolsky team called, emailed, texted, and mailed residents, matching respondents with the demographics of Dunwoody residents. The process produced a robust sample of 525 residents and yielded a +/-4.3% margin of error at a 95% level of confidence. The sample size was sufficient for statistically reliable comparisons among subgroups of residents (e.g., by demographic and geographic variables).

All respondents were given the option to choose between taking the survey in English (97%) or Spanish (3%). The online survey was accessible by computer, tablet, and smart phone. Security measures precluded individuals from completing the survey more than once.
