City Manager

As City Manager of Dunwoody, Eric Linton is responsible for the effective administration and operation of all city services, overseeing daily departmental activities, and fostering key intergovernmental relationships at the federal, state, and local levels. Since his unanimous appointment in December 2014, Mr. Linton has played a pivotal role in shaping Dunwoody’s progress.

Mr. Linton’s tenure has been defined by transformative initiatives that have strengthened infrastructure, enhanced public safety, and improved residents' quality of life. His strategic vision and commitment to innovation have positioned Dunwoody as a thriving, forward-thinking community.

Before joining Dunwoody, Mr. Linton served as County Administrator for Douglas County, Georgia, where he managed a $100 million budget and led a workforce of 900 employees across 25 departments. A Credentialed Manager with the International City/County Management Association, he remains actively involved in professional organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Planners, the Georgia Planning Association, and the Georgia City-County Management Association.
