One of the most important duties of the Mayor and Council is to receive and listen to the input and feedback of citizens. Through this kind of dialogue the city's leaders are able to make decisions that reflect the needs, wants, and objectives of the citizens of Dunwoody.
The Mayor and Council encourage communication and there are several ways that you can reach them: at the regular Council meetings, via email, or by scheduling an appointment to meet in person.

Mayor & City Council
The City of Dunwoody has a Council-Manager form of government. There are six Councilmembers and one Mayor who make up the Council as a whole. Each member of Council represents one of three districts in Dunwoody. Posts 1, 2, and 3 are positions that are voted upon by citizens from within the district the Councilmember will be representing. Posts 4, 5, and 6 are elected by the city at large, with each Councilmember being elected to represent a given district. Elections are held on a 4-year cycle and are staggered, with only half of the Council coming up for a vote in any given cycle.
City Council meetings are where much of the City’s business is decided, so it is an excellent way to stay informed about local projects, events, and initiatives. If you can't make it to a meeting, the city live-streams Council meetings on Facebook. You can access video of past meetings, starting in 2020, via Dunwoody's YouTube page. The agendas and minutes page provides minutes, summaries, and agendas for upcoming and past meetings.
