The Construction Board of Adjustments and Appeals is a quasi-judicial citizen board that hears and decides cases in which contractors or property owners are aggrieved by the decision of the Chief Building Official or seek a variance for leniency or relief from the building code.

The board has five members, each serving 3-year terms.
