The Chamblee Dunwoody/Womack Road Intersection Improvement Project is nearing completion at the end of 2022. The primary objective of the proposed intersection improvement project was to improve efficiency and safety of westbound vehicles as they approach the intersection. As part of the project, a retaining wall was created along Womack Rd. Original plans called for a granite veneer wall to be installed. The Dunwoody Art Commission requested implementing public art on the wall. This busy intersection can be considered a gateway into Dunwoody Village and is adjacent to the Dunwoody Cultural Arts Center which houses the Stage Door Theater, Spruill Art Center, and Dunwoody Library.
