Dunwoody, GA – August 20, 2026 – The City of Dunwoody is now accepting applications for its next session of “Dunwoody 101: All Aboard” session, scheduled for Friday, October 2. This interactive, daylong citizens’ academy gives Dunwoody residents a behind-the-scenes look at how their city government works. The program lasts from 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
Participants will meet City staff, learn about essential services and decision-making, and ride a trolley to visit community projects and destinations across Dunwoody. The program is open to Dunwoody residents aged 18 and older.
“This will be our fourth session since we introduced the new version of our citizens’ academy last year,” said Dunwoody City Manager Eric Linton. “Participants have told us they appreciate the opportunity to meet staff, learn more about city operations, and see Dunwoody’s progress firsthand.”
Program Schedule:
- 9:00 a.m. Budgeting & Governance
- 10:00 a.m. Trolley ride to Dunwoody Cultural Arts Center
- 10:30 a.m. Site visits to Campus 244 & High Street
- 12:00 p.m. Lunch
- 1:00 p.m. Trolley ride to Dunwoody Nature Center & Wildcat Park
- 2:00 p.m. Real-Time Crime Center & CSI
- 3:00 p.m. Wrap-up
Applications are open through Friday, September 4. Space is limited to 25 participants because of trolley capacity. If more than 25 applications are received, participants will be selected at random and notified by Monday, September 7.
