UPDATE 4:10 p.m. - Chamblee Dunwoody Road has reopened.
UPDATE 1:36 p.m. - Water has been restored. DeKalb Watershed Management crews are working to backfill and clean up the area of the water main break. The road closure remains in effect for now.
UPDATE 8:16 a.m. - Chamblee Dunwoody Road is closed to thru traffic from Roberts Drive to Spalding Drive. Dunwoody Road is also closed at Spalding Drive. DeKalb Watershed Management has provided additional details. Crews are working to repair a break on a 6” main at 5800 Harris Circle, Dunwoody. Less than 75 customers are affected.
Dunwoody, GA – June 6, 2025 – A water main break occurred overnight on Chamblee Dunwoody Road at Harris Circle. DeKalb Watershed Management was notified and is on scene. Watershed estimates repairs will take several hours, likely extending well into the morning.
Chamblee Dunwoody Road is currently shut down between Harris Circle and Redfield Road due to flooding at Redfield, creating a hazard. DeKalb Watershed advises water service will be shut off in the area for repairs.
There's also some minor flooding on the southbound side of Chamblee Dunwoody Road at Redfield that Dunwoody Police are monitoring. Dunwoody Public Works also responded to the scene overnight.
