Update: Arrests in shooting outside Sage Woodfire Tavern

UPDATE - March 10, 2023 - On February 11, 2023, Officers were dispatched to a person shot at the Sage Woodfire Tavern, located at 4505 Ashford Dunwoody Road.  Upon arrival, Officers located a male victim with three gunshot wounds, but the unidentified male and female suspects were no longer on scene. 

During the course of the investigation, the male suspect was identified as Anthony Bernard Jones of Atlanta.  Mr. Jones has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Battery, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, Discharging a Firearm within 50 Yards of a Public Highway, Reckless Conduct and Theft of Services.  Mr. Jones was arrested by the DeKalb County Police Department and transported to the DeKalb County Jail.

The female suspect was identified as Jailyn Reese of Atlanta.  Ms. Reese has been charged with one count of Theft of Services.  Ms. Reese was arrested by the Dunwoody Police Department and transported to the DeKalb County Jail. Requests for mugshots should be directed to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.  Please direct all media requests to Public Information Officer Mark Stevens by email

Dunwoody, GA - February 12, 2023 - On February 11, 2023 officers were dispatched to a person shot at the Sage Woodfire Tavern at 4505 Ashford Dunwoody Rd at 10:52pm.  A male and female couple were having dinner inside the restaurant and left without paying for their meal.  The security guard at the business stopped them in the parking lot and asked them to pay the bill.  A brief altercation occurred between the security guard and the couple.  The male pulled a gun, shot the security guard in the hand and shoulder, and then fled the scene.  The victim was transported to Grady Hospital in stable condition. 

This is still an active investigation and there are no other details to release at this time.
