Annual Stream Clean-Up
Park at Pernoshal Court
4575 North Shallowford Road
Dunwoody , Georgia
9:00 am - 11:00 am
The City of Dunwoody seeks your assistance in a Sustainability Committee initiative. One of the Mayor and Council’s first actions following incorporation was to create an advisory board for sustainability-related matters, the Sustainability Committee (formerly the “Sustainability Commission”). The Sustainability Committee focuses the majority of its efforts on public outreach and education.
As a part of the City’s Earth Day celebration and in observation of the opening of the Park at Pernoshal Court, the City of Dunwoody is hosting a stream clean-up along a portion of the Nancy Creek tributary at the back of the park on April 23 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. We will meet at the new park parking lot to begin the clean-up (4575 North Shallowford Road). Should you have any questions, or would like to join the volunteer effort, please contact Rebecca Keefer at firstname.lastname@example.org. Check the event page on www.dunwoodyga.gov for updates and inclement weather cancellations.
Gloves and trash bags will be provided. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty or wet (e.g.: long pants, boots, hat). Bug spray and sunblock are recommended.
