Georgia Law Enforcement Explorer Academy 2012 Graduates

The Dunwoody Police Explorers Post 702 once again hosted the GLEEA during the week of June 17-22, 2012.

The Academy is 6 days and 5 nights of intensive Explorer training which focuses on the fundamentals of law enforcement, team building, leadership skills, and character development. This year's Academy included 24 Explorers from Acworth PD, Carrollton PD, Fulton County PD, Roswell PD, Powder Springs PD, Sandy Springs PD, Canton PD and Dunwoody PD.

The Explorers studied topics such as the history of law enforcement, GA state law, GA traffic law, crime scene investigation, principals of investigation, negotiation, firearms training, defensive tactics and accident investigation.
