Dunwoody Selected by State Farm for New Customer Service Center

Company Plans to Bring 500 New Jobs to 64 & 66 Perimeter Center East

Dunwoody, GA – June 28, 2012 – The City of Dunwoody is pleased to welcome State Farm Insurance to the Perimeter Center area.  The nation’s largest property and casualty insurance company recently announced it will lease an estimated 434,000 square-feet of office space located at 64 and 66 Perimeter Center East.

The company initially anticipates bringing 500 new jobs to the facility with a possibility of doubling that number over time as it grows its new customer service and operations center. State Farm intends to use the new center to handle customer service issues and provide sales, service and claims processing.

“We believe the primary reasons State Farm chose this location is because of Dunwoody’s first-class amenities as well as the City’s strategic access to major interstates and regional public transportation options,” said Dunwoody Mayor Michael G. Davis. “Dunwoody offers superb convenience along with retail, dining and quality of life offerings not found in other areas.”

State Farm Insurance, a Fortune 50 company, expects to open for business at the facility later this year and staff the new offices initially with new hires.  With an estimated 434,000 square-feet of office space, State Farm has the potential to expand its workforce and potentially better serve customers through the newly established service center.

“The City has been working with select property owners, businesses and job creators to provide added value for current assets. We believe the City is uniquely positioned as an attractive location for future businesses and headquarter operations,” said Michael Starling, Director of Economic Development for the City of Dunwoody. “As the City competes for companies, businesses and jobs we will continue to explore plans and packages we view as essential to being more competitive.”
