Spruill Center for the Arts was founded in 1975 as a part of DeKalb County Government. In 1982, it became a private nonprofit multi-disciplinary arts institution. The Spruill Center for the Arts provides high-quality fine arts programming for the community through classes in literary, performing, and visual arts.
Stage Door Players was founded in 1974 as a Community Improvement Project of the Dunwoody Woman’s Club. The community theatre performed in various locations until 1988, when a permanent home was realized in the North DeKalb Cultural Center. Stage Door Players is dedicated to bringing a professional level of live theatre to the Greater Atlanta Metropolitan area.
The Chattahoochee Handweavers Guild (CHG) is a non-profit organization that welcomes everyone with a love of fiber arts. Weavers and other fiber artisans come from all parts of Georgia and many of the surrounding states to meet, exchange creative ideas, and get inspiration for their work. People with no experience learn about weaving and other fiber arts, and experienced artisans share their knowledge and grow together.
