Fingerprinting

The Dunwoody Police Department provides fingerprinting services to the public during certain hours. Applicant fingerprinting can be required for a variety of reasons such as employment, adoptions, child care providers, bar exams, bankers, etc. All fingerprints are taken via a Live Scan fingerprint system, which allows us to take fingerprints without the use of messy ink. Most individuals needing applicant fingerprints will be provided the fingerprint cards by their employer or prospective employer.

 

Fingerprints are taken Tuesday & Thursday from 9am-11am & 1pm-3pm.

 

$15 fee

 

 

Alcohol Pouring Permit

Please note, that once your application has been approved and the background check by the Dunwoody Police Department has be completed you will be notified to pick up your identification card. Background checks are conducted on Tuesday and Thursdays only, between the hours of 9:00AM-11:00AM and 1:00PM-3:00PM.

 

Solicitor Permit Application

The Dunwoody License Department will issue all solicitor permits for the City of Dunwoody at a total cost of $110.00. The cost break down is as follows: $50.00 for the background check and $60.00 for the solicitor permit for a total of $110.00. A solicitor’s permit is required for soliciting which includes activities seeking to: obtain orders for the purchase of goods, wares, merchandise, foodstuffs, services of any kind, character or description, seeking to obtain prospective customers for application or purchase of insurance or publication of any type. As well as seeking to obtain subscriptions to books, magazines, periodicals, newspapers, and other types of publications.
