Criminal Investigative Division

The Dunwoody Police Department Criminal Investigative Division is comprised of one Sergeant, four detectives, and a crime scene technician. They are responsible for investigating serious crime against persons as well as property crimes, normally referred to as Part 1 Crimes. In addition, detectives are responsible for the investigation of other crimes including credit card fraud, bad checks and similar crimes. The detectives are on call and assist the uniform division when requested.

A full time Crime Scene Technician is also located in criminal investigations. The technician is responsible for the recovery of evidence and the methodical processing of crime scenes.
