Welcome to the Dunwoody Police Department!  On April 1, 2009, the Dunwoody Police Department began providing professional law enforcement services to the 37,500 residents of the City of Dunwoody and the untold thousands of others who work in and visit Dunwoody daily.

We have hired the best and the brightest officers possible to provide the highest level of service to the community we serve.  Our officers have the highest standard of integrity, thousands of hours of training and numerous advanced certifications as well as a strong desire to make Dunwoody a safer community and the police department a great place to work.

The Dunwoody Police Department is committed to engaging the community in partnerships so we can reduce crime and disorder and improve the quality of life of our citizens.  We will accomplish this by practicing a community policing philosophy throughout the organization.  Our intention is to get to know the community we serve and for the community to get to know us through our day to day contact and the various community outreach programs we have now and will adopt in the future.

As we begin operations, we will send a clear message to criminals: You are not welcome in Dunwoody.  We will focus on arresting offenders, reducing the opportunities to commit crimes and educating our community so they will be safer.

In our desire to be transparent, we are developing our website as a source of public safety information for the community.  This information will include any forms we use, press releases, crime stats, FAQ, community services, contact information and similar items.  We certainly welcome any suggestions as we move forward.
