Required Documents:
- Completed & signed Construction Permit Application
- Four sets of drawings that have been stamped by a Design Professional
- Site plan for all new structures and additions to existing structures
- One set of drawings in PDF format on a CD
Once all the above documents have been presented to our office, your project will be logged into our system and you will be issued a route sheet. You will then proceed to the DeKalb Fire Marshal’s office for a life safety review of your project.
Once your project has been stamped and approved by the DeKalb County Fire Marshal, you will need to bring those approved plans to our offices for final building review. This is a two-week process and while we understand the urgency some projects may have, we cannot guarantee any review will be completed short of the two-week limit.
Once your plans are approved by our office, you may come in at any time to pay the permit fee in the form of Check, Cash, Visa or MasterCard (Click here to estimate your fees)
When we have approved your plans and you have paid all fees, we will issue your permit to you.
