Incident: Domestic Assault Response Team (D.A.R.T.)
Date: 02/16/2012
Location: 41 Perimeter Center East #100, Dunwoody, GA.

In an effort to further assist victims of domestic violence, the Dunwoody Police Department has initiated the Domestic Assault Response Team. This team is comprised of 7 officers and 1 supervisor. These sworn personnel have received 40 hours of training through the Peace Officer’s Standards and Training for “Response to Domestic Violence”. Their responsibility is to follow up with all victims of domestic violence, and to ensure they have been notified of the available resources afforded to them.

In collaboration with several DeKalb County resources, the Domestic Assault Response Team will provide these necessary contacts to all victims of domestic violence. Some of these contacts are, but not limited to: Victim Information and Notification Everyday (V.I.N.E.), the Ahimsa House, the Women’s Resource Center to End Domestic Violence and several others.

For more information, visit our Resources page. There you will find our domestic violence link with the above referenced information. You will also find our Domestic Violence Safety Planning brochure. This brochure provides safety tips for you, or someone you may know, about handling domestic violence incidents.

If you have any further questions, please contact Sgt. Andrew Fondas at (678)382-6910.
